SUNY Upstate On-Line Mental Health Screenings

SUNY Upstate Medical University’s Student Counseling Center welcomes you to the free online screenings for depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), bipolar disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, alcohol abuse, and eating disorders. Since people can suffer from one or more of these problems simultaneously, you may opt to complete all of the screenings. Each screening will take just a few minutes. Your screening results indicate whether your responses are related to symptoms of the mental health problems being screened, not whether or not you meet official diagnostic criteria for a specific disorder. The results are not intended to not substitute for a visit to a mental health professional. SUNY Upstate's Student Counseling Center has counselors available to meet with you to discuss your symptoms and the results of your screening(s) upon request.

Regarding the confidentiality of your responses, no one at SUNY Upstate Medical University can identify you through your responses. The only information that can be reported to Student Counseling is pooled data regarding the total number of screenings completed, the results of the screenings, and general demographic information. If you prefer to not provide demographic information, each question allows a "no response" answer. Answering "no response" to demographic questions has no impact on your results.

If you have any questions or concerns about the privacy and security of the online screenings, please review the privacy policy before starting the screening.
