National Depression Screening Day®

CollegeResponse's National Depression Screening Day (NDSD):
October 10, 2013

Research reports that 45 percent of students felt hopeless at least once during the past year (ACHA 2011). NDSD raises awareness and educates students about the signs and symptoms of mood and anxiety disorders, as well as connecting at-risk students to the resources they need.

The screenings – offered online or in-person at NDSD events -- are anonymous and confidential. The brief screening helps students get help if needed and referrals are tailored for the campus.

In-Person Kit Includes:

  • 100 screening forms for students
  • Educational brochures on mood and anxiety disorders
  • Posters
  • Wallet cards featuring CollegeResponse.org
  • Health and wellness informational fact sheets
